FIRST BLACK-BRITISH, BLIND BARRISTER

In October 2022, a beautiful African of Congolese descent, Jessica Inaba became a barrister. She is the first ever visually impaired, African lawyer who is a member of the British bar.

The young lady was twenty-two years old when she set this record. She set a new bar for African women in particular.

Of course the journey was tough. She wanted to give up many times. It was harder because she was running a Masters degree at the same time. So giving up was a great idea. But she never did.

Jessica also suffered through some hard, social obstacles. These seemed to make the heavy, academic workload more unbearable. Three things counted against her. She was female, black and handicapped. Inada remained focused.

Ms. Inada has completed her first year at the British bar since she joined them in 2022. The social challenges have not stopped but they have reduced.

Jessica further said that her belief in herself has brought her this far and that striving to be the best in her professional was an assignment she had to complete.

Is that a brave young lady or what? Please drop a heart in the comments section below for this revolutionary.
