The renowned professor Dora Akunyili was a Nigerian leader who worked passionately to protect her people from consumption of and death from intake of fake drugs. She was a professor of Pharmacology.

She was made the director general of the drug control agency in her country Nigeria. She was so passionate about this job that two assassination attempts were made on her life by the individuals whose fake drugs businesses she waged fearless war against.

During her eight years tenure as director general, production of fake drugs was minimized and the country was relieved.
